I hear this so often but I have no problems with it. Microsoft is just trying to keep up with technology. The only major problem I ever had with Microsoft was GFWL. Garbage DRM

I don't think a PC with my knowledge would be the same as me. When I'm dead, I'm dead, and the PC would simply be running a program that might think it is me. It would not be me.

That sounds terrible. I remember reading a science fiction story about a guy who figured out how to give you immortality by implanting your consciousness in a crystal. He would then extort the living to "release" the consciousness from it's prison and be at peace. Sounds kind of like that. Now if you could be in a Terminator like body and do stuff, be productive, explore places then maybe.
