Joe Biden describes what a disaster his Afghanistan withdrawal is, before he did it.

Trump conceded everything to the Taliban in February of 2020. Afghanistan was about ENRON. As soon as negotiations failed, Bush invaded.
More ORANGE MAN BAD.

That is played out, vermin.

US had been there for 20 years. The same think that happen in Vietnam when the US left.

The US supported regime could not hold the countries after they left

Bush and the US got involved because of 9/11 and to punish the Taliban. That is the only reason the US got involved

I don't have a problem. If the Afghan or South Vietnam people cannot hold the country then there is no reason for the US to hold it for them. You can only be be involved for a short period and will eventually have to leave. It is a no win situation that did cost American lives.

At one time the US had 100,000 troops in the country. it dropped to about 8,000 who were mostly doing training before the decision to withdraw completely.

Still in
2/2000 Trump reduced troop levels to its current level.
He also committed a 2/2020 agreement with the taliban for a full military withdrawal from Afghanistan by May 2021

In a February 2020 agreement with the Taliban, the US committed to a full military withdrawal from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021.

This is what Trump agreed to and Biden decision was to carry it out or keep the troops there. So if Trump was still president, the troops would have been withdrawn.
Biden didn’t carry anything out in the Trump plan, troll.

How can you support such a limp wrist Biden who had to obey only Trump? I am totally discounting the crack about Enron as you simply are not well informed. Bush actually did not invade Afghanistan. General Tommy Franks in his brilliant book told the true story of what happened there. That we flooded Afghanistan war lords with good old fashioned us currency and used our airforce and navy air power to maximum effect. But the day to day fighting was only by the Afghans who did not want the Taliban remotely near Afghanistan.
If you do not accept Franks book, check into General Mike DeLong's excellent book. Bush did not even author this plan. He trusted Franks to do the job. And Franks made short work of the Taliban doing this war the right way.

Bush was negotiating with the Taliban to agree to a gas pipeline across Afghanistan to Dabhol for ENRON.
As soon as talks failed Bush invaded. ENRON was a huge contributor to Bush's campaign.

No no no. It was Unocal that worked for a pipeline but they bailed out, in 1998, when Clinton was President. They dropped it totally. Bush had no intentions of invading. Had he, after 911 he definitely would have invaded. But the facts are different. Bush never invaded Afghanistan. Bush used the Tommy Franks plan which plainly was to arm the Afghan warlords in Afghanistan and use them to fight the Taliban. So Bush, thanks to Franks of course, dropped food all over Afghanistan. They dropped leaflets all over telling the citizens there to count on America to help them win. So they fought. We used our air power to bomb the enemy from the air. But Enron collapsed in Dec 2001. And it was all the fault of Enron executives.

Several countries were involved with the now completed pipeline you speak of. And it was the cooperation of those countries in 2012 that it was done by 2018 and is now used. Fee agreements held things up but the then Government of Afghanistan agreed so it got done. The Taliban have agreed not to mess things up. The Taliban enjoy the fees they collect in fact.

If Biden was a genuine President, Afghanistan still would be free. No doubt at all about those facts.

The Trump administration in February 2020 negotiated a withdrawal agreement with the Taliban that excluded the Afghan government, freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers and set a date certain of May 1, 2021, for the final withdrawal.

Biden delayed the May 1 withdrawal date that he inherited. But ultimately his administration pushed ahead with a plan to withdraw by Aug. 31

Your so deep in denial that it is ridiculous

Unocal was not controlled by the Taliban.

Sorry but that is not what Trump would have done.
This is not comparable to Vietnam.
Trump would never have bailed out forcing the people of Afghanistan to hang onto airplanes taking off. And falling to their deaths.

The reason they are not comparable is the Taliban took over the country immediately. The North Vietnamese spent 2 years after we left to return to invading the South.

Biden himself in speeches declared prior to being president he would spend a year getting out troops out after he yanked out equipment out as well.

Trump administration kept to the pact, reducing U.S. troop levels from about 13,000 to 2,500,

Biden delayed the May 1 withdrawal date that he inherited. But ultimately his administration pushed ahead with a plan to withdraw by Aug. 31

Expats had 6 months to leave Afghanistan. The US government has no jurisdiction over Americans abroad.

Of course not. I did not claim they were. You said Enron and I corrected you.

ENRON built a 2 billion dollar power plant in Dabhol with no source of gas to fuel it. They needed a pipeline across Afghanistan from Russia and the Stans. Unocal was ready to build that pipeline. Bush was negotiating with the Taliban to let Unocal do that for transit fees. The objective was to save ENRON.

Biden has not tried hard in Ukraine and he has no intention of trying hard. So he did not try at all in Afghanistan. And he lied by saying he would use a year to do the job and not risk lives. And he also said he would definitely pull out all the arms so the Taliban could not use them. He rearmed the Taliban.
Unfortunately it was not Biden who negotiated the withdrawal with the Taliban, it was Trump. After 4 years the final date for the withdrawal was 1 May, 3 months after Biden would take office. Biden correctly predicted it would take a year but was only given 3 months. He extended it but still didn't have a full year.

No, I'm telling you Biden's hands were tied by a pussy. One the negotiated the withdrawal deadline for a time he would no longer be in office. A nice 'kick the can down the road' move.
