John Kerry earned medals. He had EARNED the right to do what he wanted. George Bush earned an arrest record. He felt he could do whatever he wanted to the country. Republicans disagreed with Kerry and agreed with George.

Oh??? He was right??? So lifting sanctions on Iran and enabling them to get nukes is the right thing to do? That's gonna lead to peace and stability in the region? No sane person can really and truly believe that. And letting North Vietnam overrun South Vietnam, which included the murder of thousands of South Vietnamese, and the imprisonment of about a quarter of a million others, after the North took over--that's your idea of "right"? We now know that we were a matter of a few weeks from the North Vietnamese surrendering as a result of Nixon's bombing campaigns when the Democrats and the media screamed so loudly that Nixon halted the bombing and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Anyway, the point is that the Democrats have a long history of doing far worse to undermine Republican presidential foreign policy than what the 47 GOP Senators have done to undermine Obama's foreign policy.

As for John Kerry earning medals, that claim is very much in dispute. Most of the men who served with him dispute his war-record claims.
