Yeah, that's why Trump's numbers in the primary have already far surpassed Romney's. Good luck with that theory...I was surprised to note that Obama never got more than 43% of the white vote. All other demographics were above 60% for Obama. Trumps going to get a beat down worse than Romney.Aw, you were already settled on Trump and you know it. Trump is going to get the same White vote that Romney did. But the Latino vote is going to be the deciding factor so go on and vote for Trump just as you did for Romney. These illegal aliens and their advocates are doing a great job of showing normal Americans why we need to elect Trump President.
Their arguments (if mindless thuggery can be called that) are very persuasive.
I'm sold! Trump's getting my vote on June 7, and in November!
Not really.
You have Romney with 10 million votes, against 4 million for Santorum, 2.7 for Newt, and 2 million for Ron Paul
This time around Trump has 11 million, Cruz 7.5 million, Rubio 3.5, Kasich 4 million.
So for the top 4 in 2012 you have 18.7 million votes.
In 2016 you have 25.5 million votes.
That's a big difference. Why is there a difference? Probably because the race has gone on longer and people are more likely to vote the longer the process continues.
The second guy withdrew in April 2012. Gingrich withdrew May 5th and Paul didn't withdraw. However it was over by April.
Comparing like for like.
Iowa: R=25% T=24%
New Hampshire: R=39% T=35%
South Carolina: R=28% T=33%
Florida: R=46% T=46%
Nevada: R=50% T=46%
Missouri: R=25% T=40.8%
So, Trump would have won two of those 6 with those percentages.
In New Hampshire, Romney got a higher percentage, but Trump got 3,000 more votes. More people voting during the primaries, because they like love Trump or because they hate Trump? Well it would suggest that he gets more votes, slightly, but gets a lot more people voting AGAINST him. He'll bring out the Democrat voters.
