It's just the opposite. If Whites were told why they should be proud of their race, the same pride would make them stand up to the plutocratic parasites and the un-American privileges of their Fortunate Sons.
 
He had a low opinion of workingclass white people which is odd since he grew up in poverty himself.
He was correct about working class whites because of the fact he grew up as one.
 
Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty was probably at least as unpopular as his War in Vietnam. Unfortunately, we never withdrew from the War on Poverty.

Lyndon Johnson's Civil Rights Act of 1964 was followed by five years of black ghetto riots and more enduring increases in black social pathology. These riots and the rise in black social pathology ended the Democrat denomination of the U.S. that had lasted since 1932.
