People are forgetting that the law is concerned only with what's in the best interests of the child, which means that both father and mother are responsible for that child until they give it up for adoption and/or have their parental rights terminated.

Legalized abortion is an outlier, a situation where the law does not do what it normally does, which is protect the best interests of the child. Legalized abortion is not consistent with the laws of an advanced civilization.

Even the basis of Marcus' proposal is astonishingly ignorant. Under the current paradyme, either both the mother and the father are responsible for any child born......or neither are.

Under Marcus' 'legalize incest, necrophilia and male abortion' platform, a woman is responsible for every child she bears. But a man is never responsible for any child he fathers. That's ridiculous. Especially since a parents obligation isn't to the other parent.....but to the child.
