LOL Biden camp claims he hadn’t gotten a PSA test since 2014

… yeah, and I’m 8 ft tall.

Does anyone actually believe this? A Vice President, major figure, and president never got basic blood work I’ve the past 9 years?

It’s amazing they even try to say something so unbelievable.

It's easy to believe that if it's John Doe.

You have posted no proof, This hearsay and there has to be more.
Okay here's a link. Happy?

The media/Dr Jill/Deep State or whatever found one medical group that said stop PSA testing after 72 or so due to risk of false positives. Most medical groups disagree with that though. A positive elevated PSA does not necessarily mean cancer but it would prompt a competent doctor to check it out.

The Mayo Clinic recommends PSA testing every year until you die. The American Cancer Society recommends periodic PSA testing up to the point that person is within 10 years of his life expectancy meaning the very old. Reasonably healthy men in their 70s or even 80s--no serious heart, lung, kidney, liver ietc issues--now are considered to have a life expectancy of at least 10 years.

The CDC recommendation is not to have PSA Testing after the age of 70...

Only the good Lord knows why??? :dunno:

In 2018, the US Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) made the following recommendations about prostate cancer screening:

  • Men who are 55 to 69 years old should make individual decisions about being screened for prostate cancer with a prostate specific antigen (PSA) test.
  • Before deciding, men should talk to their doctor about the benefits and harms of screening for prostate cancer, including the benefits and harms of other tests and treatment.
  • Men who are 70 and older should not be screened for prostate cancer routinely.
This recommendation applies to men who:

  • Are at average risk for prostate cancer.
  • Are at increased risk for prostate cancer.
  • Do not have symptoms of prostate cancer.
  • Have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Other organizations, like the American Urological Association and the American Cancer Society, may have other recommendations.
They don't ask me if I want a PSA test they just do it as part of my annual blood work. Strange

All I am saying is Biden still has an opening for him telling us the truth that he hadn't been tested since 2014.

I think it is bat shit crazy not to continue testing after 70 and can't imagine not testing for the hubby after he reaches 70yrs old, but my husband has had prostate cancer, did radiation therapy, and I wish they were testing him 4 times a year instead of twice a year, so in case the cancer comes back, if aggressive, we could catch it early! :(

Shoot, I'd have him do the PSA test once a month from here on out until he is 90, God willing we live that long!!!

So for me, it is hard to understand not just doing the PSA testing, forever until you die!!!

BUT, the CDC clearly says after 70 it is optional and not recommended and leaves it up to the patient and their doctor to continue testing after 70.

The rationale is you already have one foot in the grave, so there's no point considering how long prostate cancer takes to grow till it becomes a problem. Your grandfather might have been carrying around that prostate cancer for a decade or more.
