Macron declares war on fake news

This is probably fake too.

Passing laws against fake news is worse than fake news.
Macron wishes to make platforms more transparent regarding sponsored content, as well as, make public the identity of sponsors who control them.

This seems a positive move. Would certainly offset the Russian plague.

Anything along this line is a violation of the First Amendment.

However, France is a country that lacks the First Amendment.

The orange rodent banned several news outlets from White House briefings. Who could imagine such a thing.............

Except that isn’t censorship, dipshit. Nobody is stopping those news outlets from reporting and it wasn’t until the mid-20th-century that the White House even had press briefings

Not only can we imagine it ... we've seen it before ... precedent ...

"And the White House has gone beyond words, reports CBS News senior political correspondent Jeff Greenfield. Last Sept. 20, the president went on every Sunday news show - except Chris Wallace's show on FOX. And on Thursday, the Treasury Department tried to exclude FOX News from pool coverage of interviews with a key official. It backed down after strong protests from the press."
