Man Makes “Terrifying” Discovery in Puddle. Immediately Calls Police. Local Press Responds.

Back in 1776, the British at least had the guts to put up a fight, as we kicked them out of our country.

Now, they've become such pathetic, worthless, pussies, that one of them will freak out at the sight of a .22 caliber round.

[...]
The British are far from being "pussies."

The fact is ignorance, not milquetoast disposition, is behind the fuss made over the corroded .22 round. And you might be surprised to know there are just as many Americans who have been so brainwashed by anti-gun propaganda they would react the same way as this misguided Brit.

I have to admit that I find it scary to see bullets like that in your photo laying on a shelf. I worry if they'll go off accidentally. I know in my mind they won't, but the concern is still there. Shotgun shells in particular look dangerous. Why do you all think the British guy is a pussy for being concerned?
Your concern is unwarranted. I believe you'd be quite surprised at how relatively harmless the effect would be if a firearm cartridge -- especially a shotgun shell, does manage to "go off."

Outside the confinement of a firearm's chamber a cartridge, or a shell, has very little explosive power. If you toss one in a fire it goes pop rather than bang and there is no potentially harmful shrapnel. It's like a low-grade firecracker.

Good thing WWII was 75 years ago, the Brits today would have folded like the French.
Don't blame the Brits for the misfeasance of their politicians. As far as the French are concerned, don't forget we wouldn't have a Country were it not for them.

Amen Mike. Basket weaving replaced World/American History a few years back. History is outdated don cha kno? Cheers:eusa_clap:

Some people just need to be taken out of the gene pool......

The local police and local media responded after a man made a startling discovery outside of his music shop. According to the York Press, Tim Stark was unloading items in front of his shop when he saw something in a puddle back in 2011 in Fossgate, England.

It turned out the object was a .22 caliber round. Stark immediately called the local police and local media, both of whom responded. The local press even sent a staff photographer to

According to local media (who sent a reporter to cover this story):

“I have no idea what it was doing there,” he said.

Progressives are pussys...

I guess not all cowardly pussies are British.
. What is cowardly for finding it unnerving about being around bullets, Fuckface? I never said I'd call 911 or stand on a chair screaming. I just find it slightly unnerving that they could go off if dropped or disturbed. The British guy might have a real phobia about them and bigots like you need to fuck off with your Rambo smugness.

It /can/ go off if dropped, but you're talking pretty amazing circumstances; something hard, the size of say a nail head or smaller, has to strike the firing pin dead center with enough force. However, in general, without a chamber (the barrel of the gun) it typically just poofs. It'll make a bang sound, but there's not really any "force" behind the ammo (be that shot or a bullet) so really the changes of getting more than burnt by it is pretty low. Maybe the casing whacks you in the leg or w/e; might get a little singe maybe a bruise depending how close you were and what your wearing.

The reason bullets become deadly is because the explosion is contained and directed down the barrel, without the barrel it's just a little worse than a fire cracker. I wouldn't wanna be standing on top of it, but ya know, I'm not gonna stand on top of a fire cracker either. Thing is, the chances of hitting the firing pin dead on with enough force is pretty slim so in general bullets are safe.

I forgot, somewhere I watched a test where a guy was whacking a bullet with a hammer to set it off, it went off and he was completely fine, and really there wasn't any "serious" danger from the explosion either - he wasn't like standing back either, typical distance for using a common household hammer.

Sounds like something out of a George Orwell book...
Progressive socialists are a disease.

TRIGGER WARNING! If you are a British pussy, look away!

Don't click the “Spoiler” button below, unless you're someone who can bear the sight of live ammunition.

Here are three boxes, of fifty each, of .22 LR rounds, a total of 150 rounds, just like the one round that freaked out the pathetic loser described in the OP's article.

Also, a box of 20 gauge shotgun shells.

Shotgun shells in particular look dangerous

not so much dad used to have us use loaded 20 gauge shells

particularly the base primer facing towards you as a target (50) yards

when he taught us kids to aim small miss small

did the same with my kids

I didn't realize that. I thought the gunpowder would propel the bullet or shotgun BBs out with the same deadly force. I'm a loyal proponent of the 2nd Amendment and wouldn't be opposed to a law that every non feline over 21 be required to own a gun. I just dont know much about them having never owned one myself. Thanks. My concern has been unwarranted.

shotgun shells tend to simply go poof and the plastic rips up the side

some years ago we cleaned out a property

garbage and stuff left behind

that we burned in our burn pit

there must have been some 22 rounds we missed

several went off

well anyways a ripped open piece of 22 brass

hit me in the chest and buried itself fully under the skin

life threatening no

hurts yes

--LOL

we check more closely at what we toss in the burn pit btw

I was gonna put don't throw em in the fire :p

But yea, I mean it could hurt... Don't suppose you've ever held a fire cracker in your hand for comparison?

Well, of course he reported it. He's British.

Now, if it had been a group of Pakistanis gang raping a 12 year old British girl, he wouldn't have found it noteworthy, but this was serious stuff!
