A Chicago man was shot by police after lunging at officers with a knife. The man stabbed an officer twice in his protective vest. The man was in critical condition after being shot twice by police. The Chicago Sun-Times reported: An allegedly suicidal man with a knife was shot and wounded by a Chicago Police officer on Christmas Day after he lunged at officers, injuring one of them, authorities said. Grand Crossing District police officers drove up to a building at 6:40 p.m. in the 400 block of East Marquette Road in the Woodlawn neighborhood to respond to a call...

This is pretty much what is happening. Take a look at Detroit. These ghetto neighborhoods do not have any big chain businesses just liquor stores and little markets.
