Why do nations where guns have been outlawed and confiscated continue to face such tragedies?

Aren't "Common Sense" gun laws the cure all for these things?

In the UK where shootings are more frequent than New York City, and now Australia where the Left has successfully terrified the population against gun ownership, it seems that the Left completely failed to realize that laws don't stop criminals. Of course, sensible people know this.

Maybe when the rate of gun homicides in Australia, Canada and the UK surpasses the US (and it will eventually), maybe then and only then will they realize their mistakes. It's not the guns, it's the criminals.

Many on the Left are fortunately already realizing the mistake and agreeing that attacks on the US's 2nd Amendment are foolish after all. Recent surveys show that 90% of Americans agree that more relaxed gun laws and greater participation in gun ownership (especially AR15 type guns) results in safer neighborhoods after all.

Guns aren't totally banned in Australia.

At the same time the murder rate is much lower than the US and the gun murder rate is even lower.

Go figure.

You think laws are supposed to work 100% of the time or don't bother.

Either have zero murders or have guns so the murder rate is 5 times higher? Makes no sense.

Do you work for the NRA. Yes AR 15's results in safer neighborhoods, are you for real?

"
In 1996, a lone gunman killed 35 people and injured 23 in Tasmania state, prompting Australia to adopt tough gun control laws.

Since then, gun-related deaths have become extremely rare in Australia, mass shooting expert Glynn Greensmith of Edith Cowan University told Australia's ABC.

Five people were slain in Lockhart, New South Wales, in September 2014, the network reported."

wish the US could be so lucky.

The one is 2014 was a married man who killed his wife and kids and then himself.
