The CDC says that 80,000 people died from the flu last year. The very young and the very old are the most susceptible. It's sad that the little boy lost his life, but people with the best medical care also, sometimes, die from the flu.

Why should we let people with infectious diseases into the U.S. in the first place?

But we do and we pay for their days/weeks/ months in the hospital due to untreated (for years) chronic diseases,tumors,abscesses ...you name it. Medicaid has a whole department dedicated to this crap.
