More 'insurrection'

it seems to be due to one of the charges is a felony

the felony was entering and remaining in a restricted grounds or building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.
Yes it seems that way. Almost 2 years in prison and over $3,000 fine plus extras. First time offense. A patriot who doesn't believe in stolen elections. Luckily we've rided the wrong

Show me where first time offenders that committed the same crimes that he did were sentenced in such a harsh manner. You can't, you've been f

ooled. You have no credibility
Here are two parallel cases for you and Delldude can chew on. Will yall stop with the hyperbolic and false claims now?

  • United States v. Mashaun D. Sims (2017)
    • Charges: Obstruction of an official proceeding (18 U.S.C. § 1512), entering restricted government grounds, disorderly conduct.
    • Facts: Sims participated in a protest that disrupted congressional proceedings. He entered a restricted area and refused to leave despite police orders.
    • Sentencing: 20 months in federal prison, 2 years supervised release.
    • No priors: He had no prior criminal record but was still sentenced due to the seriousness of the offense.
  • United States v. Thomas Lundergan (2015)
    • Charges: Obstruction of an official proceeding, disorderly conduct in a restricted area.
    • Facts: Lundergan, a political activist, illegally entered a secured government building during a high-profile political event, causing disruptions. He refused to comply with law enforcement.
    • Sentencing: 18 months in federal prison, fines, and supervised release.
    • No priors: He had no previous criminal record, but the court emphasized the need to deter similar actions.

  • Alexander Bennett Sheppard, 24, of Powell, Ohio, was sentenced to serve 19 months in prison, 24 months of supervised release and ordered to pay $3,170. He was found guilty of multiple charges, including obstruction of an official proceeding, and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building.
A first-time offender in America does not get almost 2 years in prison and a big fine for obstruction of an official proceeding and disorderly conduct. You've been fooled
Sure they do, look at post #222 where i posted two examples of just that. the dude broke the law and was found guilty by a jury. Its not political persecution its law and order. You've been duped

I need an answer from you because you supported him
You're distracting from the subject again. Im not a mind reader, I don't know why Biden says what he says. If he lied about his son i'd assume it was because he wanted to protect his son... But thats not for me to say and it is irrelevant to this discussion. Can we get back on track now?

I actually need you to answer the question because you supported Joe Biden. Why do you think he lied? Come on now

Patriots don't break into and deface our Nations capital. They don't spread lies about elections and undermine our institutions. You're definition of "Patriot" is just as bad as your definition of "Insurrection" please get a dictionary so you don't sound so clueless.

I am Talking about you thinking it's okay because they cut a really stiff sentence in half,.
The sentence is what the written law outlines for the offenses he was found guilty of. The judge cut those in half. You are pretneding like this guy was just doing patriotic protesting but he wasn't. He was breaking multiple laws. He was caught, tried, and convicted by a jury. The judge cut the sentence in half probably because he was a first time offender.

Your objections are making no sense. You copied and pasted the wrong thing from whatever right wing media source you got it from. None of that shit holds up when scrutinized.

I can't seem to find any information on the lundergan case. You wouldn't have a link would you?

I literally just answered that. Did you not read my reply? Or are you just that desperate to change the subject because you can't hang with this thread topic?

Luckily that's not what the subject in question did. You lose
