Man on motorbike dies after NYPD officer throws cooler at him, AG says

Sgt. Erik Duran was suspended after allegedly throwing the cooler at the man on the motorbike, who police said was fleeing officers.

cops are saying he was drug dealer who was fleeing. hmm were does cop kit cooler from? dude ain't black either before you say it.

Whether he was a fleeing felon doesn't really matter, unless he was threatening imminent danger to third parties (which apparently was not the case).

Under New York law, the mayor will now be obliged to issue a formal apology, erect a monument to honor the deceased biker, and give the family of the bastard 6-8 million dollars.

bummer, too bad a guy had to die because he got involved in drug sales. Unfortunately he put himself in the position where his lifes balance might end up in the decision making of someone in Law Enforcement.
thats why we tell our kids to stay away from that crowd..its only going to end badly.

Secondly a photo was shown of the deceased sitting on his bike without a helmet on. Most likely he wasnt wearing one when he crashed in the relatively low speed chase... another bad decision.

Sure the cop probably wasnt right to throw a cooler at a fleeing suspect... and Lawyers will say he should have ran over the checklist of right and wrong things to do as he was reacting to a situation....
