There is now nothing anywhere in Russian occupied Ukraine that can't be destroyed.
Mostly likely they are Mi-8 helicopter that got destroyed since the soldiers that were filming the burning base said that they were Mi-8sThis isn't really true, since this is the older M39 version of ATACMS with about a 165km range. They can hit everywhere except southern Crimea where there are juicy targets like a certain bridge and naval base. It is still a ball-buster of a weapon with 950 cluster munitions, compared to 88 cluster munitions on the 155mm DPICM artillery round. Obviously perfect for dispersed soft targets like parked helicopters.
However this is quite the dilemma for Russia, the helicopter base at Berdyansk that was hit was just outside the range of GMLRS, but it is on the coast of the Sea of Azov they can't push the base back any farther from the front lines to avoid being comfortably in ATACMS reach.
