Ellison Wants Aid Cut to Egyptian Government

Keith Ellison, who is a truther and terrorist support, of course has called to cut off the Egyptian military aid. He is a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and Hezbollah. He supports everything that is antiamerican and antisemitic. He is a scumbag and a traitor.

The Muslim Brotherhood took over Egypt after the coup of Mubarak. The first thing the Islamic leader started to do was curtail people's rights, attack the Coptics and push towards Sharia law.

These are not positive things for American interests, but seeking change should be Egypt's doing not ours. Then we got an olive branch. The Egyptian military assist in a coup of Morsi. This in our best interest. Yet the Muslim Brotherhood Congressman seeks to reverse the military's gains and put the brotherhood back in power.

Enemies within are always the most dangerous!

American military aid is against the law in the face of a coup. That's why the WH and "news" outlets have avoided using the term coup for the current coup taking place in Egypt.

of course Ellison wants aid cut to the army.....he's on the side of his fellow Brotherhood terrorists....

Bachmann was right...

They shouldn't have announced they'd freed Mubarak....that's a stick in the eye of legitimate Egyptians sick of his tyranny....fuck the muslim brotherhood....I agree completely they should be outlawed as a party and their leaders hanged...not jailed like Zawahiri was 25 years ago and then released...no, hang every one of them and shoot their followers like dogs when they step out of line....very telling what fate Christians had in store for them under the MB sewer rats.

So what do we got?

On one side, we have a buncha military executing people in the streets.

On the other side, we have buncha Muslims executing people in the streets.

Hilariously, some Americans are picking sides!!! As if one buncha murderers is morally superior to the other.

"If'n they are killin' mooslims, they has to be the good guys..."

Never mind the millions of Egyptian civilians caught in the middle. They's just spectators.

Our only move is to cut off their aid (per the law) and leave them to it. It's not our problem. Otherwise we should work diplomatically to secure our trade routes. We have no other business in the internal affairs of Egypt.

This is one case in which I agree.

However, if Egypt becomes another radicalized Muslim theocracy, that could pose serious problems to our interests.

Let them work this out for themselves. It is time the US back down with the rhetoric and let the people of Egypt decide their own fate. Who are we to take a side, we can't even take care of our own domestic problems.

That would depend upon what we consider "our interests".

It no longer matters. Saudi Arabia just decapitated us in the middle east by offering their own aid to the Egyptian military. Withholding American aid has just become a moot point. We have no more influence monetary or otherwise.

Aid is by treaty. Cut the aid to the military junta and you weaken Israel. I personally don't give a shit because this mess the U.S. has made is all headed for a grand, nuclear finally no matter what happens.

You have proof behind your assertion? Is so then show it, if not then shut the fuck up!

The military ruled the country since the late 70s and kept the peace and quelled Sharia Law and extremist. The Brotherhood took over and promoted Sharia law and backed extremists!

In a perfect world, yes the way to go. In the imperfect world we live in, we need to influence the side the will keep the peace in the region the best. No military intervention is necessary, military aid that is peanuts in regards to our budget will do just that!

That's rich.

Do you have any "proof" of your slanderous OP against Ellison?

Ellison is the First Muslim Elected to Congress.

There is no proof he is a member of Muslim Brotherhood.

Your a liar. You know you are a liar. You tell lies. Your a liar.

A great deal of commercial shipping passes through the Suez Canal. We also have strategic interests in that region.

Wow. Over-react much?

A Coup? Or Something Else? $1.5 Billion in U.S. Aid Is on the Line

President Obama’s government on Thursday was reviewing the implications for American aid to Egypt after the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi, and under United States law it has no choice but to cut off financial assistance to the country if it determines that he was deposed in a military coup.
