Shocked----------->Basically, Western Europe has become Socialist. What they have discovered is------------>you can NOT fund free healthcare, massive pensions, taking care of people cradle to grave, let alone do that while financing a defense department.

Europe has to either change its Socialist positions, (not going to happen, the people have it to embedded) or Russia, and or China are going to roll them.

I hope I am in error, but personally------------>I do not see how the status quo across Western Civilization can be maintained. In Europe, in America, the people want more, and more, and more, and to get elected, politicians have to give it to them. No. Bringing production back isn't a some kind of a magic trick. You need people who can actually work and do a good job, you need resources to make goods (or money to buy those resources), you need markets to sell all the things you produce. And to buy resources cheaply and to sell your goods costly (say nothing about elimination of your competitors' productive capabilities) - you need Army and Fleet.
Britain doesn't have Army, doesn't have Fleet, doesn't have resources and doesn't have able working men. All what you can do now - is to roll down the slope and pray for a miracle. (Of course you need the knowledge of right prayers, which you also lack).

Why would they need to? Your comments make absolutely no sense.

Re-industrialisation is a difficult thing. If you want to do something better than Chinese, you need, at least, know how Chinese do this or that. Like, you know, reverse engineering. At the very least you should be able to read their tech manuals and ask them the questions (to find undocumented featured). Without it it might be more difficult.

You can start doing it youself. Buy parts for FPV UAVs, mount them together, make a gift to your closest Army unit. Write about it in the internet, ask people for money, buy more parts and hire more hands. Repeat. You need it. Typical Russian platoon has more UAVs than a typical British regiment. Your soldiers will earn experience in the flying modern UAVs, you'll get experience in the organisation of simple electronic production. And then, may be, you'll understand why do you need to know Chinese.
