New poll- Right still gets majority Blame

And let's take a look at the methodology of this poll shall we?

It was a poll of the general population. Not voters. Always makes a difference.

The AP-GfK Poll was conducted Oct. 3-7 and involved online interviews with 1,227 adults. The survey has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points for all respondents.

The survey used GfK's KnowledgePanel, a probability-based Internet panel designed to be representative of the U.S. population.

Respondents to the survey were first selected randomly using phone or mail survey methods, and were later interviewed for this survey online.

People selected for KnowledgePanel who didn't have online access were given that access at no cost to them.

still taking that into account the GOP still gets blame. You have nothing

About half said Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility.

:) And it won't mean jack shit for 2014. Just like it didn't matter in 1996.

this isnt 1996, things are different.
you link is meaningless

Ah yes, the "modern times" argument...always a winner. :cuckoo:

And when asked to back up that "things are different" claim, we can always count on "Because I say so".

Works every time...:doubt:

read post 3. I explain it there, because you are wrong.

you have to be careful with this type of a poll question -- it is the least reliable type of polling IMO (as opposed to a candidate vs candidate poll which is pretty reliable). My guess is that with a spread like this the Republicans are looking at this and saying - correctly in my view - that its probably not a big enough spread to cause them any concern (and other polls show narrower spreads).

Basically for a poll like this to be a cause for concern you would have to see an overwhelmingly large difference - like 20 points minimum for anyone to care. Given a lot of factors such as the nature of the polls and the makeup of congressional districts my guess is the Republicans arent too worried about voter backlash after this - esp after reading Stu Rothen\berg today who says the House isnt close to being in play as things stand now

I got the majority of the blame for both of my failed marriages. Oddly enough I'm now very happy and single and they are still bitching about it.

Everyone should try reading the whole article while the Republicans are getting more of the blame Obama and the Democrats are by no means being held blameless and are not that far behind the Republicans in being held in disdain or contempt by the public.
