All other options must be exhausted first...
Albeit no matter how quickly.

How about the option that the subject being questioned doesn't try to fight the police or snatch their weapon?

That might save some of those poor dark folks some grief.

The first resort for most criminals is not a gun, in fact shootings and murder, even in the most murderous cities in America are far much fewer than any other crime and shooting at or killing cops is even more rare.

And btw... Only a gun is a gun...
Not what some cop conveniently says he thinks is a gun.

NOT A GUN was created to address the systemic issue of police brutality against people of color. A problem often caused by unconscious stereotypes that lead officers to make dangerous snap judgments. In order to reimagine public safety, we must create a conversation that involves all of us – the community and the police.

And intentional, deliberate police brutality against people of color the consequence of racism and hate.

To have a conversation absent the fact of racism and hate directed at people of color by law enforcement is a pointless, meaningless conversation.
