Every God damn day they call me multiple times. I block the numbers, they call from a new one. I bet I have 20 or 30 Google phone numbers on my block list.
It's the same fucking thing every time.
We're calling to inform you that your Google listing is in danger of.......(then me)CLICK!

My website serves as a portfolio not an advertising tool so I don't give a rats ass how far down the list it falls.

At this point you might as well spam yur shit. USMB is seperate from that.

USMB is pretty good!

I don't spam anymore, and "superfreeporn.com" is most likely dead these days.

I just gave some free clips and the rest was links to paysites. Sound familiar to anyone?

/---/Sounds more like a spam then something from Google. I get calls from "The Microsoft Company" about a virus on my PC and they will lock my computer unless I let them access it. BLAH BLAH BLAH. So I pretend to be concerned and I need to find my reading glasses and please hold. Then I lay the phone down and make occasional noises in the background like I'm looking for something.

Perhaps but either way the shit is worse than an ugly stripper. It won't stop trying to get my money

Oh. I was just wondering. My better half is a web developer. She builds a lot of people's sites all over the world. She's pretty good at getting rid of bad stuff that makes its way to people's web sites. I think she does WordPress sites, though.

My favorites are the calls which pretend to be from the IRS. I got one from "James T. Kirk" of the IRS, demanding that I wire money for taxes owed today or I risked being sent to jail!

So convincing!

I got one like that from them. It was a Indian woman. I said, ma'am, I think you've reached the wrong number, this is the FBI field office. She hung up.

I get them calls too. I just hang up.

You don't want to strangle Google. It's not coming from them, although there are many other good reasons to strangle Google.

For phone scams I read that you take the call but don't make a single bit of noise. What that does is signal the line is dead and the robot will remove your number from their list. That is much better than chasing after their numbers. When I do that I hear a faint click (at least I hallucinate one) after a while. Then I hang up.

I found a very quick way of aborting that. I also pretend to be concerned and thank them for their call. I tell them that I just bought the computer yesterday and taking it back to the dealer right away. Click. That way they won't call you back.

I used to bait scammers for the fun of it. There is a safe way to do that and not be a target of revenge. See forum.419eater.com :: Index for how others have fun with them. (Note: 419 is the Nigerian code for their law against scaming.)
