Sorry for drilling down to the basic facts, but the problem is one that I have had as well. The victim tried to tip with a $50 bill, but the delivery person could not change that size bill. Alternatively, all the customer had was a couple of ones. So it was the $2 tip pissed off the driver, who saw that the customer was not impecunious.

I've done that on occasion myself. I want to leave a tip, but I only have a $20. Going out of my way to get the large bill broken down in order to give a suitable tip is not usually an option. In the case in point, was the lady going to go down to the front desk to get the $50 broken? Hardly.

But I can see how this happened.

If I read the story right it looks like the lady was trying to tip her more by breaking a 50 but the fat chick didn't have change so she did the next best thing and gave her $33 and found 2 more dollars in her purse and gave that to her...

Likely she figured if she "didn't have change, she'd get herself a $17 tip. When that backfired, she lashed out because she herself had fucked herself out of a bigger tip.

She was going to get that $50 bill one way or the other.

That's my guess.
