Crazies here in Southern California would, like a woman did to me last month, waddle over screaming indignantly, "How dare you talk to my children when I'm not present."

First, her little girl asked me for help, which I gave to her. Second and most important, that little girl was safer with me than she was with her own mother. Her mother was simply too stupid and woke to recognize reality. "Stranger danger" is bullshit. I personally know of a number of children being molested and every single case was by a family member, NOT a stranger. As one young man said to me, "My daughter could be hit by lightning too but I'm not going to worry her about that. It's my job to protect her." Brilliant.
