I did my part, posting his story here. No one deserves to be homeless, even the worst among us if they pay their debt to society should have a roof over their head.
They raised a great deal of money for him and hopefully he gets back on his feet, get back into practicing law. He is given far more opportunities and assistance than many others who are freezing today, some to their deaths.
I hope he makes use of this help and by the grace of G-d he does some good. Society should never kick a man when he's down, it's cowardly.

Lorenzo Berardinetti, the former city councillor and Liberal MPP who became homeless last year after developing a seizure disorder in his 60s, is getting $25,000 to go toward renting and furnishing an apartment, thanks to donations from dozens of former colleagues.
“I’m very grateful for all who contributed,” Berardinetti told the Star after the fundraiser hit its goal Thursday. “What impressed me the most was that donations came from members of all three parties.”
That includes Dan Newman, the Progressive Conversative Berardinetti unseated in 2003, and Doly Begum, the NDP MPP who defeated Berardinetti in 2018.
