President Trump Warns Russia to Negotiate Quickly or Face Tariffs and Sanctions

Then what makes you think it’s going to be fun?

If you gave some kind of main point that you’re struggling to make, you’re welcome to directly state it any moment now.

.
Or drop a funny rating and scamper off if you have no idea what you’re trying to argue.

That works too.

.

The very fact that the EU is paying for 14% of Russia's war effort every year buying their gas shows me they are not serious.
Bullshit

this "claim" is based onto the TOTAL quantity imported from Russia - starting from Jan 2022 to Dec. 2024.
It is understood that the EU wasn't able to cut down to zero within 1-2 year starting on Feb. 2022- especially not with Putin sympathizers like Hungary and Slovakia - who had applied to be exempted from the EU imposed sanctions until today.

E.g.
In 2021, Russian piped gas supplied to Europe was 155 billion cubic metres (5.5 trillion cubic feet),
in 2022 it was around 62 billion cubic metres (2.2 trillion cubic feet)
in 2023 just 28 billion cubic metres (0.99 trillion cubic feet)

E.g.
By 2023, Russian pipeline gas made up only 8 percent of the EU's energy imports, down from over 40 percent in 2021

E.g.

As of November 2024, Germany has imported no Russian natural gas since September 2022. To compare, in August 2022, the import volume of the named commodity stood at around 953 million cubic meters. Over the period observed, the highest figure was recorded at 5.2 billion cubic meters in December 2021.

As usual Trump is lying his mouth off - and MAGA's are known to gobble up the shit he drops onto them

How much the EU imported is not the point, it's what they paid Putin for it.

"President Trump Warns Russia to Negotiate Quickly or Face Tariffs and Sanctions

Using his Truth Social account, President Donald Trump said he is “strongly considering” issuing large-scale sanctions and tariffs on Russia to get a ceasefire and settlement deal on the table to end the war in Ukraine.

[SOURCE]

With Ukraine in a vulnerable position due to the USA ‘pause’ in Ukraine missiles and drones targeting systems, President Trump appears to be telling Vladimir Putin directly not to exploit the vulnerability or Russia will face enhanced economic pressure points.

President Trump is putting pressure on both sides to reach an interim ceasefire agreement."

The war pig Democrats won't like this one little bit. They want more war, not a peace agreement.
My question is why these large scale banking sanctions, sanctions and tariffs were not already in place.

I guess Trump is "flooding the zone" (like he does with executive orders) trying to get the war to at least a cease fire

The point is "WHEN" did the EU pay and buy Russian Gas - you moron

70% of that US$ 200 Billion was paid in 2022
Anyone with a brain (Not MAGA's) is clearly aware that there was no way for Europe to simple stop purchasing gas from Russia in 2022.

So tell me why did Trump buy from China 2017 to 2021- for a trade deficit of US$ 450 Billion per year?
He therefore totally financed China entire military budget for every year he was in power - and as of 2025 he is still doing it.

Why doesn't Trump stop buying Oil&Gas from Canada - immediately?

In 2024, Canada supplied 62% of American crude oil imports. Other energy exports from Canada include hydroelectric power, natural gas and other fossil fuels.

MAGA's as usual - only talk Bull&Crap.
