Quiet Quitting and now Resenteeism?

While my job paid very well and helped me put 3 kids through college, I regret the extra effort I gave to my job. I regret the sporting events I missed. I resent many other things as well about the job. I should have worked alot less hard and done the minimum. Quiet quitting makes sense. Perfect sense.
No one ever looks back and says they wished they worked more. I turned down all overtime for about my last 15 years, and now has proven to be the right decision.

Overtime is always a complicated decision for most people.
Money needs vx time with family.

I wanted a new toy that was going to be roughly $1K. Our budget could afford payments from credit but it would make things tight.
OR
I could work Overtime on weekends for a month and pay cash.

I worked the Overtime and got my toy. Which I used to enrich the lives of my family and friends. So in essence the cost/benefit was worth it. Many people have this automatic answer around Overtime that is not congruent with their true needs. Never made sense to me either.

I basically worked what I wanted to and believed that money was just a tool.
