Repeal the 22nd Amendment and the 17th, too.

except it is one person one vote elects them. Just like representatives, we arent talking about how many there are but how they get elected.

And in Wyoming it takes 200,000 people to elect a US Senator
In California, it takes 8 million people to elect a US Senator.

that is true of any elected official dumbass. ALL elected officials are free to do as they please within the law.
So why have an elected legislature chose for the people.
And not let the people chose for themselves.

Do you let other people do your shopping?

Interesting. You want senators to be chosen in smoke filled back rooms, instead of the people deciding who they want to represent them.

You want to return power to the often gerrymandered legislature, and take it from the people of the state.
Stop pretending you have any ability to speak for me, postnasaldrip. You’re a troll and you speak dishonestly and ignorantly.

What I want is what we once had: US Senators chosen by the legislatures of their respective states so that our Union represents not just the people of the states but also the states themselves.

So, you want a king?
Nope. You idiot.
Or in Trump's case.........A dictator, like his daddy.
Not a hint of rationality in that failed attempt at a sentence.
What all intelligent people say after you split your imbecility.
🥱
You're an idiot.
Nah. Schmucks like you cornered the market. You idiot.

because the INTENT of the Senate was that it would represent the State and be selected BY the State Government.
The INTENT of the Constitution was also to support and protect slavery.

Good thing we can amend the constitution.

Take away the 13th amendment, and what we once had was slavery.
Is it your intent to return everything back to how it was in 1789?

he is claiming because political parties every 10 years establish the districts that that somehow negates the people elected the legislature.
No, he is pointing out that, for example, when 48% of the votes are for democrats... yet the republicans control 60%+ of the state seats... then it's not accurate representation of the will of the people.

Which is why direct vote for Senators makes more sense.

I notice you never use as example the blue states that gerrymander their districts to elect democrats.
