North Carolina Republicans are completely off the chain. Phil Berger leads the Senate, his son is on the State Supreme Court. Over the past several years they have taken power from the governor, the gerrymandering redistricting was absolutely terrible. North Carolina is a purple state with a Democrat governor for almost a decade at this point, yet our Congressional delegation involves 10 Republicans and only 4 Democrats.

Yes, they stay in power by hook or crook. Remember, there has been only one Congressional district in which an election was overturned, a conviction was handed down and a new election called. It was in North Carolina, and the convicted was working for the Republican candidate.

I don't think I'd go that far. Some Repubs win legitimately unless you count the misinformation Repub voters base their votes on.

But what this story does show is the lengths Repubs will go to in refusing to acknowledge defeat and concede to their opponent. trump's plot to steal the 2020 prez election obviously being the most appalling example. It's a disturbing trend ushered in by trumpery and yet another challenge to the republic.
