I think you switched that around.Nope, sorry but someone's hurt feelings don't make the person hurting them an asshole.
Such as Antifa, the Mafia, the extortionists, the killers, the thief's. All over America Trump is working to stamp out crime. It could soon be possible that all non-Christians will be subject to possible arrest throughout America.
I think you switched that around.
Regardless, even if you assume the religious rally goers are absolute off the chart assholes, they still have a Constitutional right to assemble free from battery.
.of course they have that right. People like Creepius think that anything he disagrees with should be banned or confronted violently.
I don't believe "turn the other cheek" was to be taken literally. I believe it's kind of like the log in your own eye or gouge your eye out if you look at a woman in lust. That seems kind of the antithesis of that "turn the other cheek" thing.
Hawaiian shirts also.
Well if they were holding a rally to make TexMex illegal, I'd be tempted myself. Thats just wrong!of course they have that right. People like Creepius think that anything he disagrees with should be banned or confronted violently.
Ouch, don't do that.I don't believe "turn the other cheek" was to be taken literally. I believe it's kind of like the log in your own eye or gouge your eye out if you look at a woman in lust.

If you bother to read the passage, you'll note that Jesus specifies someone hitting you on the right cheek. How does a right-handed person hit you on your right cheek? Answer that and you'll be well on your way to understanding the context and what he was referring to. Hint, it was an insult, not an attack. That seems kind of the antithesis of that "turn the other cheek" thing.
Hawaiian shirts also.
Look at the passage. Jesus specifies someone hitting you on your right cheek. For a right-handed person, that's a backhanded slap. It's not someone punching your lights out.I don't believe "turn the other cheek" was to be taken literally. .
I've identified several gents who always come to Mass at my church dressed in a jacket that's suitable for concealing a firearm. Ditto in other parishes nearby.
I want all churches to be protected in this way.

.I carry in church. Every week.

Speer Gold Dots. We have plenty of holy water to stop vampires on site...I assume you carry silver bullets.![]()
Yes, there have been shooters in churches.Pretty bad state of affairs when a person is not safe in church, or does not feel safe.
But then, look how fast the government stripped freedom of religion away during Covid and banned church-going?
