The magazine said that it shouldn't have agreed to Jackie's request not to contact the alleged assailants to get their side of the story, out of sensitivity to her. "These mistakes are on Rolling Stone, not on Jackie," wrote the magazine's managing editor, Will Dana. "We apologize to anyone who was affected by the story and we will continue to investigate the events of that evening." The decision not to contact the alleged rapists prompted criticism from other news organizations.

I'm not saying that but that's what the evidence says. It seems like every rape claim is to get money out of the guy or as a PR stunt. Same thing is happening with cosby. None of the accusers has a shred of evidence.

This might bankrupt RS. It's very tough for a celeb to win a libel lawsuit since the victim must show deliberate lying. But these frat boys were not celebs or public figures and they will have a much easier time collecting. All they have to do really is show the story is false.
