No it does not. Not in the slightest, and I say this as a former female athlete.
None of the people speaking out against trans women in sports, are women. Women aren't demanding these laws, men are inflicting them on the nation and then demanding that women be grateful for the protection.
One swimmer got upset that a trans athlete beat her in that athlete's first swim meet competing against the women, when she had only been taking testosterone blockers for one year. The longer she was on the blocker, the slower her times. Her national ranking as a woman turned ended up being lower than it was when she competed as a man.
Female athletes - real female athletes, have completely ignored the issue. In fact, real female athletes don't really care about the issue at all.
Upholding trans athletes' rights requires rooting out the inaccurate beliefs underlying harmful policies sweeping through state legislatures.
