There are no 150 year olds around, obviously, but according to some of the articles I have been reading? There are more than a few individuals claiming to be 150, who are on social security. That’s just outrageous ~ it reeks of fraud and abuse, the system, and it needs fixing. That way, those of us who work hard will still be able to receive ss some day.

I'm sure there are Republicans who abuse the system as well. This isn't a republican verus democrat thing. This is about waste, fraud and abuse. Why do so many on welfare live better than old people on social security? Heck, we paid into it and yet we have to pay taxes on it again and pay for medicare too. Find the waste, fraud and abuse and give it back to the elderly and veterans of war.

You can't see most disabilities. My son, daughter-in-law and daughter are all disabled veterans. My son has PTSD and is 100%. My daughter injured her back and cannot lift anything. She is 80%. My daughter has an ankle and foot injury which means she cannot walk distances or stand still for any lengthy period. She is 80%. Only my daughter is employed and she has accommodations from her employer. You would never know by looking at them how much they are affected on a daily basis.
