I would not want Canada to suffer being purchased by the USA and deny their citizens the right to select what becomes states. It would turn out ugly to impose that on Canada. So Canada can decide to be part of the United States and Trump by public will can hand them money for the purchase.

One reason I spoke up about buying Canada is to get to Alaska by vehicle, one must drive through Canada. I had also heard most Canadian residents live pretty close to the USA border. Also not all that is talked about will happen fairly soon.
