Snow Report

That and high winds did a lot of tree damage in Texas in 2024. Downed trees everywhere.
Yup, your trees aren't built for snow.

It rains so much here, sometimes there doesn't even have to be wind if that soil gets loosened up enough.
Usually water oaks that are leaning is what goes down, but I've seen some interesting things in the recent past.

It's raining so much I'm worrying about trees kicking over.
should be alright, tap roots go down 50+ feet or more, rain plus any high wind though the soil can become too lose to hold up the weight

No, I live above 7000 feet in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
only 8 feet? it's really cool to see those DOT snowblowers carving through 12+ feet or the train that has that massive plow to keep the tracks open

The bulk of our snow tends to arrive in February through March.

If the tree isn't on the decline. Could be no taproot. Like I said, I've seen a lot of things lately.

Yup and in the south, we have no equipment to deal with it.
I shouldn't laugh. Some dumbasses are gonna probably wreck some shit up.
LA don't be knowin' how to deal with ice. They probably know Skynyrd.
