So far grocery prices still suck

You got robbed on on a 20 year old car but better keep it running. You soon won't be able to replace it.
My son has a 1962 Buick LeSabre with a non alternator electric system.... Points and plugs. It will be one of the few vehicles that you might actually be able to start if an EMP hits.

I realize Trump is not in office yet and can't really do much. However I hope he keeps in mind that groceries sunk Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
If he has any aspirations for the mid term he had better make groceries a priority.

I realize it's a bit more complex than simply ordering the grocery stores to lower their prices which would only cause them to close their doors.

If it's a supply chain issue let's get to it! It's the single most interactive point of the economy for 100% of the population.

What makes you think I would want to survive doomsday even if I had a car that would run just as far as the tank of gas in it and not a mile further?

You do make a good point!

None of that matters to the average Joe. You can't do economics 101 with Mr and Mrs. Kitchen table....you can only do one thing ..... results. The same will hold true for this new administration. No results? No votes.
Yep. By this March we should see a 180 degree turnaround on gas prices and food prices. Perhaps gas under $1.50 by then.

That was because of thanksgiving...You must have gone in the morning...I'll bet the shelves are stocked by now.

Nope, I went in the afternoon.
And I've never seen this............before or after Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The ONLY time I've seen this was during the DemocRats Plandemic.
Apparently they've created a whole new generation of hoarders.

Supply chain issues? Where? We don't have any. Perhaps we will be seeing more strikes though as workers will be asking for much higher wages. And the public sides with them.
Some supply chains are very long. If each link along the way adds just a little to the cost by the time it reaches the consumer the price is outrageous.

Lots of later models on the market. This one will last a long time as I don't drive nearly as much as I used to. I paid more than market price because of the almost new condition and low miles (110,000).

Went to the store again, cause as usual, I forgot something.

Still a few empty shelves, but the employees had their big carts out restocking.

I had a 1980 LeSabre. Great highway car. Wonderful stereo sound system, like being in a concert hall. Nothing compares since. :(

You won't see any significant impact for at least 3 months. I'm guessing 6 months to be safe.

They've been a dollar per orange for a year here.

The quality of citrus has sucked for more than a year. We are even importing oranges from Israel.
Florida orange groves have been badly infected with a disease that kills the trees.
