One of my sons is in real estate and currently is handling a number of transactions with houses that have solar panels on them. He asked me for some assistance in examining a net metering bill that one of the potential purchases had in hand for the purposes of closing costs.
While doing some research on the bill I stumbled across a few interesting articles about how solar panels can affect the rate of your house insurance even causing cancellation at times because some companies feel as though it increases the risk of fire.
Well sir that got my interest.
So I started the researching solar panel Fires to find that even though the claim is that they're very uncommon they apparently are not all that uncommon.
Below is a video designed to quell the fears of those who are concerned about this particular thing and all I can say is that the fellow in the video who was speaking on behalf of solar panels not only did not allay my fears but also caused me a bit of alarm. The whole idea was to minimize the presence of risk of solar panel fires for potential buyers. What he did instead was legitimize them.
