What is the one boxing match that you witnessed that stands out the most in your memory?
I've seen so many boxing matches since 1972 so this is difficult. But if I had to pick one, it would be the title fight between "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler and Thomas "Hitman" Hearns. It was a three round war with neither fighter giving an inch. Amazing fight!
But many of Mike Tyson's fights stand out for me especially the early ones where he was clobbering opponents with some of the most vicious punches in history. Another standout fight is the Sugar Ray Leonard bout with Hearns that was also a battle of attrition. One final bout that I remember well is the rematch between Leonard and Roberto Duran when Sugar Ray completely embarrassed and toyed with Duran making him quit in the ring without taking any punishment.
