What Trump is doing stopping any further investment in the continuation of the war.
This is long overdue. Empty headed patrons parading the streets of the United States with Ukrainian flags should volunteer themselves.
Ukraine is accepting recruits up into their 50s from all over the world. Nobody is stopping them from doing it..

If Trump can use lifted sanctions to leverage concessions from Moscow then by all means these cards should be on the table.

He hasn't made any effort to interrupt currently signed contracts with Ukraine there just aren't going to be any new ones at this point until Ukraine is actually committed to peace.

In the meantime I think the US should allow the Ukrainians to set up recruiting stations here in the United States. This will help the protesters who have too much time and energy on their hands to resolve their personal issues.

The contested territories are not going to be wrested away from Russia by military force no matter who gets involved.

The path forward lies in diplomacy and cooperative politic. It certainly does not lie in a perpetual war that consumes lives, money and world peace. That option is for the insane.

This is the best possible position and of course it is rejected by people here who want to end the second amendment while at the same time showering death weapons on a war that has already killed over a million people. What kind of retarded political position is that?

Guy, Stop Drinking The Bleach.

Trump let his petty ego overrule American interest, probably because Putin has some serious dirt on him, or maybe he just wants to be just like Putin when he grows up.

Putin is not doing well. He's having to empty out his prisons to fulfill units, they are taking old T-55's out of museums to fill out units because they can't produce, and they are relying on North Korean Mercenaries.

I don't buy any of that.... There's no question that Russia is strained but they're not going to go down and they're not going to lose on the battlefield either.

Continuation of this war is insane. Make peace and negotiate later.. yeah yeah yeah I saw the references to ceasefires that Putin broke The information missing is what the Ukrainians did to break them too.

It is not in America's interest whatsoever to invest in the continuation of this war period.
All efforts and investments from here on out should be aimed at peace and stopping the meat grinder.

I stand by my suggestion that the US should allow Ukraine to open up recruiting stations at key points throughout the United States.

Protests and signs are great but ultimately get nothing done.

Nope! Trump has stopped or paused the congressionally passed aid in the pipeline....

Lifting sanctions is a HUGE mistake and there is NOTHING Russia is conceding to, for those sanctions to stop. Those sanctions are why Russia is doing so poorly and Trump is only making Russia stronger in their criminal war invasion of Ukraine.

There is nothing Putin has given in concessions to Ukraine....lifting sanctions NOW, while Russia is still killing Ukrainians daily is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Trump is NOT the person who should be the arbiter of peace, he has taken Putin's side....someone neutral needs to step in, and give trump the boot.

It is shameful, what he has done and is doing, and hopefully will land him in hell, the proverbial Lake of Fire, where his father and creator will reside along his side!!!!!

And you think the second amendment is bad?
I just read this morning in an NBC news article that all signed contracts will be honored and those extend out two years.

There is more to Ukraine then what we are told. And all of the resource paid into it most likely stopped a global economic issue. Watching all of the important people going over there was suspicious.

Look They can't even be trusted to account for the money and the equipment... So aside from the fact that it's just a bad idea to invest in the continuation of a war instead of investing in peace we don't even know where the investments are really going.

Thanks for the link, it was really informative and showed you weren't just making it up.

Funny, I remember in the late 1980s, when I was still in the service, that the Army used to publish these big glossy manuels on how really tough the Soviets were, and how formidable their weapons were.

And then the USSR broke up after getting their nose bloodied in Afghanistan.

Continuation of this war is insane. Make peace and negotiate later.. yeah yeah yeah I saw the references to ceasefires that Putin broke The information missing is what the Ukrainians did to break them too.

Let's look at what Putin wants for "Peace".

He gets to keep all the territory he's stolen.
Ukraine can never join NATO
They have to decrease their military size.

You know, stuff Cheeto Hitler is perfectly fine with, because DAMMIT WE DON'T WANT PEOPLE SEEING THAT PEE TAPE!!!!

Nope. The Meat Grinder isn't costing us a thing other than money that creates American Jobs.

So we are able to degrade an enemy without losing a single American life. That's genius!!!

Sure, let's apply that strategy to the Zionist Entity as well. Cut off arms shipments and let the Israelis open recruiting stations.

I don't see our resident Jews signing up, though. Or the Funditards who think that we need to protect Israel so Jesus can come back.

"Oy Vey, my scoliosis is acting up, already!"

How does any of that translate into a mandate for America to keep shipping money and munitions to keep a war going? This reminds one of how Korea and Vietnam got started. The more we get dragged into this, the more it becomes a proxy war.

I know, but it is a great headliner to upset the children.

Korea, we were in control of the country after WWII when a police action occurred. Vietnam was when the French were defeated, and Eisenhower put in US troops.

Proxy wars. It's pretty irrelevant what spark ignited the conflict, once it got going everybody jumped in, and that's what the sane people want to prevent in Ukraine.

For the uninitiated, Fehlinger-Jahn is an economist who sits on the boards of obscure multinational organisations like the Action Group for Regional Economic Integration of Southern Balkans. Most prominently, though, he shitposts.

On his Twitter account, Fehlinger-Jahn posts selfies from his travels around Europe — attaching messages in which he holds forth about his passionate pro-NATO and pro-EU opinions. These never have the tone of statements from a private individual. They have the tone of communiqués from a world-straddling politician.

However, I am finding it rather funny that one of our most rabid Pro-Russian Communists is repeating a post from somebody who is very strongly Anti-Russian.

Wow, once again a seriously demented version of history. As expected.

The United States was the advisor nation to South Korea, and the Soviet Union was the advisor nation to North Korea. The US was "not in control", it only advised the southern half of the peninsula. This was established at the Moscow Conference of Foreign Ministers in 1945.

And something similar happened in Vietnam. At the 1954 Geneva Conference, the United States was assigned as the advisor nation to South Vietnam, while the Soviet Union was assigned as the advisor nation to North Vietnam. That was not done by Eisenhower, that was decided by the diplomats of the US, North Korea, South Korea, the People's Republic of China, and the Soviet Union.

So do not even try to begin to bloviate some kind of nonsense that was something decided by the US President. In case you are brain dead or something, the Communist nations that helped reach that agreement outnumbered the Non-Communist nations by a margin of 3 to 2.

Next time, try sticking to facts instead of yet another failed attempt at really bad propaganda.

once it got going everybody jumped in

You mean like the UN?

Yeah, pretty stupid for an organization that is supposed to be about stopping wars to actually, you know, try to stop a war.

Of course, that is the last time they were really of any use in doing that.
