Here is just one example of how Trump could (and probably will) use tariffs strategically for the US to regain the trade advantage.

BROADCASTING EQUIPMENT.

That happens to be China's number one export. The US also manufactures broadcasting equipment and exports a lot of it. So Trump slaps a 100 percent tariff on Chinese broadcasting equipment which would encourage our businesses to by our broadcasting equipment. We stick it to China, and our businesses and consumers are not affected.

God help anyone that buys Chinese electronics.

Besides using lower quality components they always build a back door into anything that has a memory and an internet connection.
