BEIRUT – The local government in a majority Kurdish area of Syria has passed a decree granting women equal rights in what a monitoring group called “an affront” to discriminatory jihadist moves.

Published on the local government’s official Facebook page on Wednesday, the decree states that women and men should enjoy “equality… in all walks of public and private life.”

ROFLMAO------long ago I read stuff about kurds------like in short stories and ----traveler's
accounts--------from what I read about their approach to women------it took quite a stretch
for them to manage to use this "women's rights" method to spit in the face of Isis-----
they must have felt HIGHLY MOTIVATED
