I can't stand Cruz, but kudos to him for having the balls to give Trump the middle finger and not sell out to a man so lacking in character and integrity. Awesome!

Cruz totally overshadowed Pence and made the story about him the whole news cycle. The idea that Trump outsmarted Cruz by allowing him to speak is silly.

With all due respect mdk you have to look at the bigger picture. Trump invited so many of his former competitors and there was no way on the planet that Cruz wouldn't be invited.

It was sheer genius though on how Team Trump scripted their reaction to Cruz "being Cruz" and a sore loser in the speech. Bear in mind, they all knew that Cruz wouldn't endorse Trump.

And it was a fabulous set up. If out of the blue Cruz changed his mind and endorsed Trump it would have been a win. But if Cruz didn't endorse Trump they had a plan to turn it into a mega win.

Where and when did he say that Cruz's father killed JFK? He only was commenting on a tabloid piece he was asked about that purported that Cruz's father handed out leaflets with Oswald.
