When I still lived in Boston I was a poll watcher a few times and it was the same rules there. Nothing within the polling place that endorsed any candidate.

It's a good rule and needs to be enforced. Attacking election work physically should carry a very heavy penalty; not just assault and battery but also interference with a federal process.

At my polling place, a poll worker asked a man to take off a trump cap. After some good natured debate, he gave it to her.

Weird thing was that she had a t-shirt with a bible quote and there was a poll worker with an American flag shirt, both of which would clearly indicate Trump supporters.

I usually wear a T-shirt with either the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution, or the 2nd Amendment on it. In 2022, a poll worker started some shit about my T-shirt that had the Bill of Rights screen printed on it. He said I couldn't wear it. After a couple minutes of debate, common sense kicked in and he decided to drop it.

You can't just tell people to remove their hats and shirts.

You have to explain to them it is the law that they cannot wear it into a voting location. The person may have been too harsh in telling them to remove it.

For some people you have to show them the written law because they simply do not know its a law.

No, he isn't, not even technically. A poll worker can advise someone that they're in unauthorized apparel. If that voter doesn't comply, then the poll worker can call the cops. He sure as shit isn't the "boss" because what he says isn't necessarily what goes.
