Texas says no to renewables

LOL!!!

It was natural gas powered plants that shut down and let people freeze you dolt.
hahaha
$60 billion was spent on Wind Turbines. Energy policy pushed renewables.

HAd that $60 billion been spent on natural gas, nobody would of died.

Yes, natural gas plants shut down when the electricity demand skyrocketed causing a blackout. No electricity to pump the natural gas.

Wind power was generating less than 20% of what they claim they can produce.

Wind and solar were not able to increase output, waiting for the sun to shine and the wind to blow

Nope. frozen valves due to lack of winterization maintenance.
so narrowly focused you are

Texas spent years and $66 billion on wind and solar.

Why did the $66 billion in renewables fail.

We do know that natural gas usage increased during the winter freeze. Natural gas usage increased significantly.

Solar and wind availability went down.

Texas, looks like the future is not renewables. Renewables are dependent on the oil industry. It is possible as long as the federal government gives away trillions to renewables the Texas oil companies will build renewables.

Yet, Texas knows they need electricity so they are moving forward with hydrogen

Meanwhile, the Lone Star Power Station will be sited in Liberty County near Cleveland, Texas, which is part of the Greater Houston metropolitan area. Lone Star is planned to be a 453-MW hydrogen-capable combustion turbine facility. Its price tag is expected to be about $753 million. The Legend and Lone Star plants are both expected to enter service by 2028 and will bring a total of $2.8 billion in economic benefits to the region, according to Entergy.
Anyone who has driven across Texas knows they have a TON of Windmills already.

Please feel free to prove that.
I got to prove the sun went down and that the days are shorter in the winter.

Whereas you dont have to prove anything, and you never do.

You simply say it is so. Like you are in a religion, a cult.

As everyone knows here. I have always proved everything I state, when I like.

Yes, another OP, on the great wind failure ignored by the believers.

You said "there was no sun, there was no wind"

Now you are saying "it was night".

Does the wind stop at night?

Does the night last 24 hours?

I proved my points.

You are attempting to blow smoke up my ass.

Yes, the wind does stop at night. Much more so than during the day. You do not know that much wind is the result of the clouds moving across the earth, resulting in the heating and cooling of the surface resulting in wind.

At night, there is always much less wind if any at all.

crepitus, how did you prove any point? Did you even make a point? crepitus you have proved nothing, you made a statement that was simplistic, nothing more.

Yes, the wind does stop at night.
Maybe in RWNJ bizzarro land. not so much out here in reality.

Why is NOBODY building NUCLEAR......"NUCULAR" if you are the left.

Bill Gates is. He is putting $1billion into nuclear.
Early last month I read where they broke ground on a Natrium nuclear power plant in Wyoming.

From their website:
Natrium reactors are not pressurized like existing plants and use sodium, instead of water, as a coolant. The reactor operates at a temperatures greater than 350 degrees Celsius (the equivalent of 662 degrees Fahrenheit) and far below the boiling point of sodium. TerraPower's design capitalizes on natural forces, such as gravity and thermal convection, enabling passive cooling and significantly reducing safety-related costs compared to conventional reactors.

Additionally, it's unique design allows for separation and “decoupling” of the energy and nuclear island, ensuring the integrated energy storage and power production systems are completely seperated from the nuclear portion of the plant.

This design permits non-nuclear project teams to operate significant plant operations like the steam turbines and salt tanks outside of the nuclear control area. This is safer and reduces costs.
