heh, great minds.

Just imagine the flights of fancy that the theory of borrower malevolence and Wall Street victimization requires conservatives to take: All these no-account folks, you see, got together and forced investment banks to engineer subprime mortgages into highly leveraged securities. Then they tricked all manner of hedge funds and pension funds and financial institutions into buying these lousy products. Just for good measure, these struggling homeowners then persuaded bond-rating agencies to misrepresent the risk associated with these securities.
Great op/ed, give it a read, in, OMG!, The Wall Street Journal.

so by that logic we can conclude that all poor people are very stupid. Not a one of them knew what they were doing.

We know---they were tricked--just like congress was tricked into Iraq. We got a whole nation of dumb shits that fall for anything.

Jeesh, I see people are actually still denying the reality of the situation.

When does McCain start his ad with the hapless black family as the cause of all of America's woes?

as soon as Obama starts his about the greedy republicans and how the democrats did everything in their power to stop it.

and what reality might that be, ravi ? The bill sucked and everyone took advantage of it. Some of them were even poor minorities. Did they cause the WHOLE THING ? no-----did they cause PART OF IT? Yup.

Hey Guys,

I have this really nice bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya.

Any takers?

Palin has a road that leads to nowhere to accompany that bridge too...:eusa_whistle:

It's the lenders fault of setting up the system the way it did and it's the borrowers fault for being too stupid, gullible or just plain desparate to fall into the trap.
