Zone1 The Great Difficulty Of Being Religious.....

I don't know what they believe. Any agreement is coincidental.
All Christians who believe in a literally true bible, can't possibly accept that the dinosaurs weren't on Noah's ark.

They're all quite adamant that the earth was created and everything that the god accomplished took place over the last *6000 years. You must have meant 'humans' instead of humanoids?

* or 10,000 years.

I believe in Gap Theory. Makes sense to me.

God has protected me all my life. That doesn't mean I haven't had bumps and bruises.

God Wanted Me to Live Long Enough to Post on USMB. Genuflect Before My Posts!

More than anyone, I could use that superstition about my experiences in Vietnam. We'd get hit in the front; I'd be in the rear. We'd get hit in the rear, I'd be in the front.

The most extreme was Operation Tuscaloosa, where the two platoons in front of ours got pinned down for nine hours, so we were kept back because it would have been suicidal to advance. The first three Marines to cross the river had gotten shot in the head by a sniper with a Czech hunting rifle

If dinosaurs were on the earth in Noah's day, I'm pretty certain they wouldn't have been taken onto the ark.

That's of no interest to me as long as you don't disagree with AiG. My understanding, being uncontested by you,
is that AiG is consistent with your beliefs in all respects.

So far at least, all Christians on this board, with two exceptions of Ding and Meriweather, are believers in a literally true bible.

I might suggest that those two came along with my positions, kicking and screaming.

If anyone believes in YEC, they must believe that what caused the "creation" happened after the creation, which of course doesn't make sense.

Any agreement with AiG is purely coincidental.

Well then when were dinosaurs on the earth if not during the 6000 years since the creation of the *earth?

* Ding and Meriweather suggest 'dirt' or 'soil' instead of 'earth'.

Who knows what they believe? Who even cares?

At least we know that they are disciplined enough to not get involved here!

A long time before the Genesis re-creation of the surface of the earth. Geologists toss time around like a drunken sailor tosses money around on a Saturday night, so who really knows.

First you say that Mt. Everest was sticking out above high water level and now you're saying the earth was created twice?

O.K! The whole business is still unsettled. The Catholic church blew the whole mess up when they bought into Darwin's evolution.

The re-creation of Genesis was of the surface of the earth, the biosphere. The rubble of previous upheavals, notably the mountains, remain. God will deal with the mountains when he restores the whole earth at a later time.

.

Interesting.

My none-too-bright friend was startled one day when my cockatiel, who had been out of sight, ran over her foot. She screeched and called it a dinosaur. And as we talked about it, we got into the subject of how like one another birds and lizards are, with the word "dinosaur" coming from the Greek for "terrible lizard".

She actually was pretty agile, coming up with that connection in a moment of being startled.

And if I remember right, there were birds and lizards on the ark?

Anyway, your post made me think of the incident.

They are entitled to their opinions. However, the context suggests the whole earth. You can check it for yourself if interested.

The most difficult thing about being religious is expecting grown adults to believe in fairy tales

And then believing your fairy tales are more believable than others.
You believed in the Marxist Fairy Tale that Biden was 'sharp as a tack' behind closed doors.
