Zone1 The Great Difficulty Of Being Religious.....

How did the birds survive?

With all plant life destroyed
What did the animals eat when they got off the ark?
All the answers are in 'Answers in Genesis'.

That's the only trusted source that can be believed by Woodnuts and where he gets his facts.

Answers in Genesis: Well, consider that this supposed first living thing would only have had the genetic information for bare minimum capabilities and requirements to survive. Presumably, it wouldn’t have had eyes, ears, teeth, flippers, lips, a heart, lungs, sonar capabilities, the ability to use photosynthesis, had camouflage, night vision, fur or scales, protective or hunting instincts, feathers, preening glands for those feathers, muscles, bones, migratory instincts, etc.

All those incredible capabilities that creatures have and the forms, functions, and features that allow them to perform the brilliant things you see when you watch a David Attenborough special would have had to have been created over the supposed billions of years through some kind of mechanism that could create brand-new functional genetic information.

Woodnuts has already accepted your burden on the flood being a literally true event. Are you buying that which he peddles or are you going to stick with your blasphemous interpretations of the god's word?
You can't be trusted to speak for others. For instance, I have told you that the flood account was an allegorical account of a historical event. Do you know what that means in terms of was there a flood? Should I be using flash cards with you like I would with a small child?

Tell that to Woodnuts.l

Why when we become so close to agreement, do you add doubts on where the clams lived?
Fact or not on the sea food, you're never going to accept the god's and Woodnuts's word on the great flood!
Why? You still comprehend what it means when I say an allegorical account of a historical event.

I know nothing about Answers in Genesis. I just use my critical thinking skills to ferret things out.

More Christian condescension. Yuck. "God's plan"... Tell that to the family who just lost their kid to cancer.
Insults and Ingratitude Have Consequences

Actually, my metaphorical god, Prometheus, the god of creative intelligence, is offended by how High IQs are treated like social-reject weirdos and punished through unpaid education.

So He blocked our ability to cure cancer as punishment for the deadly sin of nerd-bashing. The kid who died would have called smartkids "freaks" if he had lived long enough to stay in school.

God doesn't protect us from everything, that's in the fine print of the PlanG
God Doesn't Even Help Those Who Help Themselves

He doesn't protect us from anything, never has and never will. Only independent human minds have ever done that. And don't give the typical Theist illogical spinning that those minds were "inspired by God."

God has protected me all my life. That doesn't mean I haven't had bumps and bruises.

Since y'all are busy being poets making it impossible to dechiffer what is literal and what is just metaphorical, do you mean literally God has literally protected you?
God protects us in different ways, through his laws and through direct intervention. I have experienced both all throughout my life.

Cancer death rates are way down from just a few decades ago thanks to new medical treatments. However, the causes of cancer have not been addressed, so the disease is still a juicy plum for the medical industry (healthcare is a misnomer).

I wouldn't know where to start.
Take your time.

Have you seen the original, animated Mulan from Disney? There is a scene where Grandma holds a cricket and closes her eyes as she crosses the road. This causes chaos in traffic and a huge crash as everyone does their best not to hit Grandma.

She makes it to the other side, uncovers her eyes and goes; - "I knew it! This cricket is a lucky one!"

How is this relevant? Well, it is.

Cute.

The Great Difficulty Of Being Religious?

Apparently it is quite difficult for some to work on their own behaviors more than they work on the behaviors of others.
.

Really well said!

My priest could make a whole homily based on this! And he's an amazing Sermonator.
