So far, Tesla has sold nearly 30,000 Cybertrucks in North America. By and large, the experience has been positive, with nine out of ten Cybertruck owners praising their trucks. However, there have been some negative experiences as well. There have been reports of trucks malfunctioning in the middle of highways, heating systems failing, and even one unfortunate individual whose frame cracked into two pieces after hitting a pothole.
Out of 30,000 sales, the number of negative experiences is minuscule, and it is actually below the average number of negative experiences for any car model. What sets the Cybertruck anomalies apart is the disproportionate amount of negative press they receive.
While thousands of positive stories exist, the media tends to focus on fewer than a dozen negative incidents, sensationalizing them for all they are worth. This is largely because Elon Musk, like Donald Trump, is seen as a polarizing figure by the media. It’s clear that the mainstream media has learned nothing and will continue to misrepresent the truth in favor of a narrative, even as their audience continues to shrink.
