The noose tightens: EU imposes anti dumping tariffs up to 67% on chinese products

The EU overcomes it hatred toward Pres Donald Trump

This is good news for America and bad news for the CCP

The UK should have clapped high tariffs on Chinese junk umpteen decades ago, then waste, manufacturing jobs, and quality wouldn't be an issue. But here we are.

Actually, this is a sensible tariff.

It's a tariff on a specific class of products to protect local manufacturers.

Doesn't really solve the problem that China produces a better product at a lower costs, but hey, you do what you can.

The chi-coms will make to your specs....The problem is they will take that tooling and knock off your product and sell it for half the price.

Um, okay. So what?

they could also buy one of yours and reverse engineer it.

So here's an idea, instead of whining about what China has done, let's look at what they've done right and replicate it.

They've invested in the infrastructure and education to produce a first-class manufacturing environment.

Thing is they don't have to put up with burdensome regulations your ilk put on manufacturing, nor the union labor that you support......They work, or else.

Typical dem, liking slave labor as long as it's someplace else.

You are speaking to an Anglophile who wants nothing but the best for the Mother Country

Its a long road back to respectability, but the Brits can do it

Wow, you really don't know much about China, do you?

Slave labor. Guffaw.

Of course, being a Republican, you'd probably like pollution and poor labor, for the other guy.

Do you mean CCP hackers scrambling the grid?

Its a possibility

But there could br other csuses also

Like Spain being a relatively poor country with poor infrastructure?

Spain's GDP per capita is only 33K a year compared to 87K for the US.

Yellow Fever is like Maleria

Once you have it it never goes away

Communist china is on the ropes, and its cadre of White Monkeys on social media are on the ropes with it

Like Lord Haw Haw and Tokyo Rose, its all over but the cryin’

Oh, come on man, it was just tongue-n-cheek humor......Love (between a man and a woman) is where you find it....Some just have to travel farther than others. ;)

Theres a few things at play in the West. More folk are consumers and the majority just go by price. The West's higher standard of living demands higher wages which in turns makes labour expensive. Every time living wage increase, another robot is employed. And because of all that, in steps the Chinese, Vietnamese, Pakistani's etc.. with cheap labour. Today's generation like every home furnishing matching, the latest gadget, the latest fashion etc.. all as cheap as possible and frequently changed/updated. Imo.

I think it goes deeper than just price

Using just one example, following WWII England had a robust auto and motorcycle industry

But the Japanese snd Germans out-engineered them, and out-worked them

Now even Rolls Royce is foreign owned
