At the north end of that storm we first got pouring rain followed by several inches of snow. Made quite a mess of the roads.

Back in March 2012, we had storms on a Friday that damaged major areas of the country. I was teaching at the time, and the families of one of our employees had a near miss on their homes, destroying two storage buildings. On Monday, we took off from our school training day and went to help with sorting through the debris. The problem? Over 4 inches of wet snow had fallen on Saturday and the temps were still in the low 30s. We burned downed tree branches to keep warm and worked until the light was gone.
