In listening to Trump and Musk speak just a few minutes ago and make statements about all the abuse, corruption and fraud that they are saying is happening, there are a few "general" statements that need to be made

1) throughout history, abuse, fraud and corruption have occurred as people as humans and those traits exist in almost every person and even more in any administration that is trying to install their platforms. The search for power always stimulates those traits.
2) the abuse, corruption and fraud can NEVER be eradicated (it is part of human nature). They can only be controlled and ameliorated. For that to happen, you first need to have controls to prevent that from happening, you then need to have investigations by "several" sources that are considered unbiased and non-partisan and then you need to go through the courts to support the findings and instill the necessary changes to make it better.
3) these same departments of government that are being accused by Trump and Musk of these deeds were open during Trump's first term, meaning that it is not worse now than then.
4) biases and partisanship need to be considered when reacting to statements made.

I have no doubt that something needs to be done, especially under a Trump presidency as he does NOT believe in instituting restrictions and controls. I also believe that this problem was not addressed by the Biden presidency, given the problems brought on by the pandemic, the problems that Biden exacerbated with allowing increased immigration and the lack of him being a strong president.

Nonetheless, what Trump is doing has a lot of potential and unnecessary negatives that could (likely will) cause more problems than are solved.

Trump is scamming people as he wants to look like he is keeping his promises and being a strong man (to feed his ego). Nonetheless, the way he is going about it, will not accomplish either and will likely result in another failure. (as he is known to have a lot of).

Musk also seems to be working on ego as he is being very strong is doing the job that Trump assigned him to do but he has no experience with government, he is treating this issue like it would be a company and not a nation where humanity, caring-for-others, and international effects are as important as dealing with the issues stated above.

Simply stated, this OP is to offer some general common sense in the hope that others will understand that this situation requires more common sense than the objectives that Trump and Musk have put on these issues.

Having said all of the above, it has become evident that common sense is not something the people on this board want and that means that I am wasting my time here. I have no desire to waste time.

As such, I have decided to back off posting here for now. Until my speculations begin to become reality, I am not doing anything of value here. I will stay around and read some posts and perhaps answer a question here and there, but in a very small way. When the negatives become tangible and cannot be denied by blind-by-choice insulters and debasers here, I will start posting OP's again. That may be in a few weeks, a few months or perhaps even longer. That cannot be clear right now.

Stage 1, "there is no fraud" is complete.

LOL, now Dems are in the stage 2 "Well there is Fraud, but it's not that big a deal"

Stage 3 is "We need fraud" and Stage 4 will be "Fraud is a good thing."

Please link to that portion of the constitution that addresses humanity, caring-for-others, and international effects are as important as dealing with the issues stated above. The constitution deals with your right to thrive as an individual of your own merits. There is nothing in the constitution that remotely suggests that the government should support you, the homeless, or foreign aid. That would be Marxism which leads to fascism. Now run along. You have a fantasy idea of what this country stands for.

I agree but good luck with convincing anyone else.
