With the rising incidence of violence at town hall meetings...Copilot AI noted: A report by the National League of Cities found that 87% of local officials observed an increase in attacks on public officials, and 81% reported experiencing harassment, threats, or violence themselves.
This got me thinking...in the Civil War (1861-65), the US population was 31 million. The Democrats (50-55% in the South favoring slavery), and the Republicans (35-40% in the North against slavery). Weapons were primitive, and probably not readily available.
Today, the population is 347 million...Democrats 49%, and Republicans 48%. Weapons are sophisticated, and readily available.
Is there anything to be concerned about? If so, I think it would be about my family's finances, and personal safety...and all of society. Warranted?
